Mark Watring Jumper Clinic - Oct. 23, 2004
Mark Watring, two-time Olympian and gold medalist at the 2003 Pan American Games, braved the rain
to teach several students whose ages spanned from 10 to 43. In his lessons, he started with flatwork,
focusing on suppleness, transitions, and correct bending. Then, he started each student on his
"infinity" exercise - a figure-eight that incorporated a bending line. Depending on the experience
of horse and rider, he then had his students do courses, working on turns, balance, and straightness to the jumps.
Everyone learned something, including those auditing. We are definitely looking forward to having
Mark come again!
