Riding Lessons at Glenwood Equestrian Center Dressage Jiji Mellon has been teaching dressage at GEC for over two years now. In her lessons, Jiji emphasizes a strong foundation for the rider while using position and active communication (mostly listening!) with your horse. Her positive, encouraging teaching style helps her students feel secure so they can quickly progress. The result is a confident rider and horse who perform together with cooperation and expression. Jumping Dee White has over 25 years experience riding and teaching. She gives her students the skills they need to challenge themselves and attain their goals, whether in competition or rides at home. Dee believes in bringing out the best in every horse and rider combination through a patient, consistent and progressive program. Her gifts are an ability to assist horse and ride to conquer fears and build confidence. With her keen eye and attention to detail, she professionally and accurately re-balances horse and rider to achieve harmony. Dee teaches Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Children's Lesson Program We offer lessons to children from ages 7 on up for beginners to the experienced rider. Lessons cover all aspects of riding and horsemanship, including safety, how to groom, how to tack up, parts of the horse, knowing your tack, leading a horse, and more. Each of them is suited for beginners. Rascal is also suitable for more advanced students who are interested in dressage or jumping. Partial leases are available for those interested in riding more.
