Mark is a two-time Olympian (1984 in Los Angeles and 2004 in Athens, Greece), and Individual Show Jumping Gold Medalist at the 2003 Pan American Games. In addition, he has won numerous other Grand Prixs, including the Pebble Beach Classic Grand Prix in 2003.

Based on his excellent competition record, Mark was named the American Grand Prix Association's 2001-2002 Rookie of the Year.

He currently rides and trains in Southern California where he also enjoys teaching both children and adults.
